During his set he reflected on how things turned sour during his infamous weekend at Glastonbury at 1995, where he partied with the Oasis brothers.

Paying tribute, he sang the group's Don't Look Back in Anger before inviting another friend he'd made at the festival to join him, Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes to sing the band's hit 'Alright'.

The singer and the rockers hadbeen until locked in a war of words for over two decades, with Robbie even challenging frontman Liam to boxing match at the Brit Awards.

However, despite the criticism, Robbie has insisted that he's 'glad' that Liam 'exists', adding that the singer is a 'vital' personality in today's music scene.

In a candid new interview with Zane Lowe on hisApple Music 1 showin 2022, Robbie looked back on his dealings with the Wonderwall hitmakers, with the trio often hitting the headlines with their bitter feud over the years.

And speaking to Zane, Robbie told that in spite having had to compete against Oasis in the charts, he is still a 'huge fan' of the band and praised the 'incredible hedonism and reckless abandon and rock 'n’ roll' they symbolised.

Touching on their past behaviour, he went on: 'It's part of that competitive nature of me too. And also they were gigantic bullies too, to the whole industry, everybody in it. And I didn't like that. And a lot of that still remains inside me. They're probably different people now but there's a lot of me that's like, "They're f***ing bullies, them. I don't like bullies.”'

Robbie - who has previously claimed his feud with the group was 'unbearable' - went on to remark how Liam has since 'changed' and is a 'vital' presence in the industry, before noting that their past rivalry benefited him whether Oasis released a great album or not.

'He's doing fine. And he's rocking it' Robbie remarked. 'The great thing about being a fan of Oasis is when Liam comes out with a great album, I can be a fan. The great thing about being resentful towards them, is when they don’t, I’m happy. I win on both sides. It’s so genuine.

'Liam’s last album that he put out, there's like five or six tracks on there that are just like... I'm so glad he exists. And I'm so glad that he is a personality out there that's vital, because there's not many of them about.'

The Angels hitmaker went on to say that nowadays pop stars are moreconformant and lack the huge personality that Liam has, adding that it's 'fantastic' that there's a Liam in the world.

Theirlengthy feud dates back almost three decades, but Liam and Robbie did start off as firm friends, having partied together with Noel at Glastonbury in 1995.

Robbie then famously fell out with the brothers, after Noel described him as 'that fat dancer from Take That.'

In May 2020, Liamoffered an olive branch to Robbie after the Take That star revealed his father Pete Conway had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

Liam tweeted: 'Oi Robbie balboa it's LG I hear you got sh*t going down in your fam I'm sorry to hear that love n light going out to your family stay cool and in tune LG'.

Robbie was delighted to receive the message from Liam and admitted it 'means a lot' to him. He replied: 'Brother.that means a lot to me ..Carry on being celestial .the world needs you .Your fan rob [heart emoji] (sic)'

It comes as in June this year, Robbie insisted he's still a fan of Oasis, despite Noel previously calling him 'the fat dancer from Take That'.

The former boyband star played Stoke-on-Trent's Vale Park stadium at the time, where he surprised the crowd with a rendition of the Britpop legends' 1996 mega-hit Don't Look Back In Anger at his homecoming concert.

The Rock DJ hitmaker - who also performed Take That's Could It Be Magic and Do What U Like - reportedly told the crowd he was forced to leave his boyband after 'going to Glastonbury and hanging out with the Gallagher brothers'.

Despite former Oasis guitarist Noel once dubbing Robbie 'the fat one in Take That', the Supreme singer hung out with ex-frontman Liam Gallagher at the world-famous music festival in 1995, shortly before departing the Back for Good band.

They have bickered for years, with Robbie famously challenging Liam to a fight at the 2000 BRIT Awards.

However, Noel recently appeared to pay Robbie a backhanded compliment when he said he wishes he'd penned 1997's Angels, as he compared it to the Wonderwall hitmakers.

'Add a f****** electric guitar on it and it would be.'

However, despite any criticism, or backhanded comments from the Gallagher brothers, Robbie insists he is still a fan of the band, saying, according to The Sun: 'Well, that's as complimentary as it's ever going to get. That's high praise indeed, so I'll take that.

'I am a big Oasis fan. Nostalgia still pays. I am still that man but sober, 22-years-old in my head and a massive fan of Oasis.
