Aubrey was another piece of fish. The story line was different but not out of the realm of cliche. But that’s impossible right?
I wish that Atwater-Rhodes would have continued with these vampires, or at least this line of vampires. Demon in My View is a beautifully written novel and one that I personally can identify with because the author was just fourteen I believe when she started to get her work published.

Yes, the first book in the den of shadow series was short pages yet it lacked my interest. Monica died in the process, but she succeeded. Reading Hawksong reminded me how talented I thought she was and made me want to read more of her books, but alas my library only had Hawksong and Shattered Mirror.
This novel one-ups her first attempt by jumping deeper into the “life” of the deliciously dark vamp Aubrey and spinning in a human factor – which just happens to be a teen author. There is a price to be paid when secrets are told? You see, both books start with a human girl meeting a Hey, look, someone decided to write Twilight with real vampires! The thing I like about this series is that it focuses on the same world but different characters in each book. Still, worth a re-read!
Her green eyes, black hair, pale skin, and vampiric traces in her aura were all from him and Jazlyn could not look at her. The two biggest problems are a heroine who isn’t particularly appealing, and the author’s tendency towards over-exposition.
