The association will sponsor a plant sale and a food court. Beer and baked goods will be available. A children's art area will feature artwork by neighborhood children. Carriage rides will be available. Christ Apostolic Church, 8:30 a.m.

to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church, 7905 Smyrna Road. Crafts, used clothing, new novelty items, children's clothes and toys, baked goods, candy and other food will be sold. The festival will be held regardless of the weather. Spaghetti dinners will be sold from 11 a.m.

to 6 p.m. Friday. Cost: $2 for ages 10 and younger; $3 for others. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 6101 Fegen-bush Lane.

Crafts, white-elephant items, baked goods, plants and other items will be sold. Lunch food will sold. Games available. The River City Concert Band will play at 3 p.m. Sunday in the activities building at Audubon Baptist Church, 1046 Hess Lane.

All activities are free. Also, these spring festivals are planned: Cherokee Triangle Neighborhood Association's Olde Time Fair, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday along Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road. A children's wheel parade beginning at Longest Avenue and Cherokee Road will open the fair at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday; neighborhood children will ride bikes, strollers, skateboards or wagons. Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated wheels. A rededication ceremony for the recently restored Castleman Monument at Cherokee Parkway and Cherokee Road will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Other highlights include a juried arts and crafts fair featuring more than 200 exhibits by local and regional artists; musical entertainment by a variety of local celebrate its 160th anniversary at the 10:45 a.m.

Hill Street Baptist Church, 412 S. 24th will celebrate its 98th anniversary at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Speaker: the Rev. William Summers III, pastor of Bethel AME Church of Shelbyville.

Also Sunday, the Rev. J.C. Pyles, pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church, will speak at a 4 p.m. service. Okolona Baptist Church, 9301 Preston Highway, will present a two-part play, "The Centennial at 7:30 p.m.

Friday and Sunday. The play was written by church member Jerry Lee Rodgers; church members will read it. The first part will be presented on Friday and the second part on Sunday. The play celobrates the 100th anniversary of the church and the history of Okolona. Free admission.

Peace Presbyterian Church, 4210 E. Indian Trail, will hold these events during the coming week: A workshop on "Outreach Evangelism: The Importance of Racial Justice in Racial Ethnic Congregations," 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Speaker: Marion Humphrey, circuit court judge In Little Rock, and pastor of Allison Presbyterian Church there.

The workshop is sponsored by the church, the Presbytery of Louisville and the Racial Justice Policy, Racial Ethnic Ministry Unit of the Presbyterian Church USA. Free admission. A "gospelfest," 6 p.m. Saturday. The Peace Choral Ensemble will present a service of songs and praise.

Zlon Baptist Church Brotherhood Chorus will celebrate its 46th anniversary with a service of worship and music at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, 2200 W. Muhammad All Blvd. It's spring, and the spotlight will be on about 300 colorful dogwoods (and other flowering trees, shrubs and flowers) during the Audubon Park Festival of the Dogwood. The festival, sponsored by the Audubon Park Garden Club, will run from 7:30 to 11 p.m.

Friday through Sunday. Hosts and hostesses will be dressed in antebellum attire. Trees, shrubs and flowers will be lighted on Audubon Park residential lawns and in Wren Park, bounded by Linnet, Dove and Wren roads and Dove Lawn. The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Wren Park, where newly planted memorial trees will be dedicated.

Bob Domine, WAVE-TV sports anchor, will help light the trees in Wren Park. After the ceremony, the Funmakers Band will perform. Free coffee and home-baked cookies will be served at the hospitality tent in Wren Park on Friday and Saturday. Sherry Lawhon, a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, will sing. Lunch will be served after the meeting. Donations will be accepted to cover costs.

Fern Creek Baptist Church, 5920 Bardstown Road, will be the host of a choir festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
